PAXTON INTERNATIONAL RESOURCES LTD. - Ten Year Forest Licence

I am pleased to announce that our wholly-owned subsidiary, Paxton Forest Products Inc., has been awarded a ten year, 45,000 m3 per year Forest Licence in the Vernon and Penticton Forest Districts, within the Okanagan Timber Supply Area. This is the first time Paxton has had such a licence to supply fibre to the Monte Lake operations. This is a “Hunter” licence which will enable us to set out our own harvesting blocks and, at last, provide us with a secure source of fibre. This will enable us to plan our logging and production at the mill on a much more efficient and effective basis. With logging being done much closer to the mill and the efficiencies we will achieve, there will be a significant impact on profitability in the coming year. This is another step in the turnaround of operations at Monte Lake.

The Board of Directors is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John (Jack) F. Dunlop as a director of the company. Mr. Dunlop is the former owner/manager of Neville Crosby Inc. and has had a distinguished business career. Mr. Dunlop is a significant shareholder (1.4 million shares) and is a valued addition to the Board.
